Human Resource Business Partner, HR Compliance & Leadership Coaching in Austin
Overview
Own people strategy and employee relations for multi-site operations in Austin with local guidance and regulatory compliance. Partner with leaders to address workplace matters, performance, and policy application at scale. Bring judgment, collaboration, and a strong background in employee relations to drive team effectiveness. This role is distinct for close partnership with site leadership and a focus on risk reduction and development planning.
What You'll Do10
- 1Drive people-focused strategies with operational leaders to align workforce plans with business priorities
- 2Advise managers on workplace policies and compliance obligations with practical guidance on sensitive personnel matters
- 3Lead or support workplace investigations and document findings to determine appropriate next steps
- 4Guide leaders through performance conversations, corrective actions, and development plans to improve team effectiveness
- 5Promote engagement and retention by coordinating morale, communication, and workforce support initiatives with site leadership
- 6Support talent activities including internal mobility, job description updates, and broader workforce planning efforts
- 7Monitor adherence to federal, state, and local employment laws and reduce risk through consistent HR practices
- 8Assist with labor relations activities including grievance handling and union-related matters when applicable
- 9Coordinate with benefits and leave teams to address employee leave questions and processes
- 10Identify training opportunities and help deliver HR programs and special projects as needed
Requirements8
- 1Bachelor’s degree is required
- 2At least five years of progressive HR experience including employee relations, performance management, and leadership coaching
- 3Demonstrated knowledge of employment laws, HR standards, and workplace compliance practices
- 4Labor relations experience preferred
- 5Bilingual English and Spanish strongly preferred
- 6HR certification such as SHRM-CP, PHR, or equivalent preferred
- 7Proficiency with HRIS platforms and Microsoft Office applications especially Word and Excel
- 8Valid driver’s license and ability to complete background screenings successfully
Salary Insight
$85 - $90k per year
