Hub Associate / Van Driver, Part-Time Delivery & Fulfillment
Overview
This role drives West Marine van deliveries and supports Hub fulfillment operations in San Diego. You own the customer delivery experience, ensuring packages arrive on time and in excellent condition. What You'll Do7
- 1Drive a West Marine van on delivery routes, using routing apps to prioritize stops and complete deliveries and pickups.
- 2Load the vehicle in route sequence and document all deliveries with company-provided technology.
- 3Interact with customers during deliveries, sharing upcoming events and promotions to enhance their experience.
- 4Perform order picking, packing, and shipping for omni-channel orders to meet SLAs, using efficient methods.
- 5Process customer returns according to policies and keep the shipping station clean and stocked with supplies.
- 6Identify bottlenecks in the fulfillment process and report them to the Hub Manager promptly.
- 7Assist customers in the store with purchases and product recommendations, supporting restocking efforts.
Requirements7
- 1High school diploma or equivalent.
- 2At least 21 years old with a valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record.
- 3Ability to pass a criminal background check, pre-employment drug screen, and DMV checks.
- 4Willingness to obtain Hazardous Materials Certification and Forklift Operator Certification.
- 51+ years of van driving or delivery experience preferred.
- 6Comfort with technology and mobile apps for navigation and order tracking.
- 7Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds frequently and stand/walk for long periods.
