HR Generalist, Onboarding & Immigration
Overview
You will own the full-cycle onboarding and immigration process at Addison Group's Houston office, touching every new hire from offer to day one. You will report to the HR Manager and work alongside a team of five HR professionals supporting a headcount of 300. In this 3-month contract, you will develop training programs and serve as a trusted resource for employee relations, making an immediate impact on retention.
What You'll Do8
- 1Manage new hire orientation and onboarding, ensuring a positive and seamless experience for all employees.
- 2Coordinate employment-based visas and immigration documentation, partnering with employees and external counsel.
- 3Develop and deliver HR training programs on onboarding, policies, and procedures for employees and managers.
- 4Serve as a go-to resource for HR policy, benefits, and workplace questions, resolving issues with professionalism.
- 5Support employee relations cases, assisting management with conflict resolution and corrective actions.
- 6Maintain confidential employee records and HR documentation with strict accuracy and discretion.
- 7Administer HR policies and programs, ensuring consistent application across the organization.
- 8Partner with leadership on engagement, development, and retention initiatives, driving measurable outcomes.
Requirements8
- 13+ years of human resources experience, with a focus on employee lifecycle processes.
- 2Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration, or related field, or equivalent experience.
- 3Experience with onboarding and HR administration in a fast-paced environment.
- 4Proficiency with Google Workspace (Gmail, Docs, Sheets, Drive, Calendar).
- 5Experience processing employment-based visas or immigration processes.
- 6HR certification such as SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR.
- 7Experience developing or delivering training programs for employees and managers.
- 8Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a strong attention to detail.
