HR Generalist in Sacramento, CA
Overview
You will own the full employee life cycle at Sacramento Native American Health Center, from onboarding to offboarding, and serve as a trusted partner to employees and leadership. You will manage employee relations, workers' compensation, leaves, benefits, and HRIS data. You will work alongside a passionate team in a community-centered healthcare environment, fostering an inclusive culture. What You'll Do10
- 1Resolve employee relations issues and conduct investigations to maintain a positive work environment.
- 2Manage the performance appraisal process, including feedback, goal setting, and professional development support.
- 3Handle workers' compensation claims, leave requests, and the interactive process with managers and employees.
- 4Maintain HRIS data, generate reports, and ensure accurate records.
- 5Develop and deliver employee training sessions on various HR topics.
- 6Update HR policies and procedures and communicate changes to staff.
- 7Plan and coordinate special events such as open enrollment, recognition events, and holiday parties.
- 8Support payroll coordination and data accuracy with the Finance team.
- 9Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations, including HIPAA and OSHA.
- 10Drive quality improvement initiatives aligned with organizational goals.
Requirements8
- 15+ years of progressive HR experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 2Working knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices.
- 3Strong interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- 4Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism.
- 5Experience with Paycom and HRIS systems.
- 6PHR, PHRca, or SHRM-CP certification preferred.
- 7Experience in an FQHC setting preferred.
- 8Knowledge of traditional, cultural, and spiritual practices of the diverse AI/AN community.
Salary Insight
$74 - $98k per year
