Human Resources Director, Healthcare Compliance
Overview
You will own HR operations for a campus with Skilled Nursing, Assisted Living, and Independent Living, ensuring CMS compliance and labor law adherence. You will lead onboarding, payroll, leave management, and employee relations across a multidisciplinary team. Reporting to the community administrator, you will drive survey readiness and workforce planning. This role impacts resident care through compliant and engaged staff.
What You'll Do10
- 1Ensure CMS regulation and state labor law compliance across all personnel actions and records.
- 2Oversee onboarding including credential verification and licensure tracking for all new hires.
- 3Coordinate and deliver general orientation programs for incoming staff.
- 4Audit employee files and pay profiles to maintain data integrity and compliance accuracy.
- 5Lead CMS survey readiness for Skilled Nursing, including personnel file checks and training documentation.
- 6Manage employee relations cases, investigations, and corrective action processes.
- 7Administer full-cycle leave programs: FMLA, ADA accommodations, and state-mandated leave.
- 8Drive payroll administration with precise processing and regulatory adherence.
- 9Coach managers on policy application, documentation, and progressive discipline.
- 10Partner with department leaders on staffing and workforce planning.
Requirements7
- 13+ years in Human Resources, with healthcare facility experience preferred.
- 2Knowledge of CMS regulations and healthcare staffing requirements.
- 3PHR or SPHR certification strongly preferred.
- 4Bachelor's degree required; Master's preferred.
- 5Advanced Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint skills.
- 6Proven ability to interpret complex HR documents and respond to sensitive inquiries.
- 7Extensive knowledge of employment laws and performance management systems.
