HR Admin Assistant, Manufacturing & HR Operations
Overview
Own the full employee lifecycle at our Kansas City manufacturing site, from onboarding to payroll, ensuring a seamless start for every new hire. Drive compliance with AIMS, ISO9001, and ISO45001 standards while coordinating HR operations and supporting the leadership team. You will manage pre-employment screening, biometric time-clock setup, benefit enrollment, and SAP HRMS data reporting. This role blends HR administration, facility coordination, and HSE support, making you the backbone of the site. You will also lead community events, serve as Wellness Champion, and keep safety equipment inspection-ready. What You'll Do9
- 1Coordinate new hire onboarding, including pre-employment screening, A# assignment, FR uniform ordering, locker assignment, and computer system access.
- 2Set up hourly employees for biometric time-clock attendance and process biweekly payroll for hourly and salary non-exempt staff.
- 3Support compliance with AIMS, ISO9001, and ISO45001 by maintaining documentation, tracking audit materials, and serving as Document Control Administrator for SharePoint, eDMS, and physical libraries.
- 4Serve as the first point of contact for HR questions, escalate to the Regional HR Manager, and manage daily support for new employees.
- 5Prepare and release requisitions and invoices through SAP, ordering supplies for plant and maintenance departments using the P-card.
- 6Organize plant meetings, site functions, and community events, including arranging facilities and catering.
- 7Conduct weekly inspections of hazardous waste areas, eyewash stations, safety showers, and emergency equipment, documenting compliance.
- 8Manage monthly inspections and resupply of First Aid kits, AEDs, and fire extinguishers, maintaining inventories of PPE and safety supplies.
- 9Document weekly, monthly, and other NKC site team meetings (IMPACT), and serve as backup to the HESQ Specialist for safety training.
Requirements8
- 12+ years in HR administration, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- 2Hands-on experience with SAP HRMS for data entry and reporting.
- 3Familiarity with AIMS, ISO9001, ISO45001 standards and compliance documentation.
- 4Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and SharePoint for document control.
- 5Experience processing biweekly payroll for hourly and salaried employees.
- 6Knowledge of E-Verify and I-9 compliance requirements.
- 7Strong organizational skills to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- 8Excellent written and verbal communication for onboarding, training, and vendor coordination.
