Housekeeping Aide, Senior Living & Infection Control
Overview
Own cleaning operations inside a Lifespark Senior Living Community serving seniors across Assisted Living, Independent Living, and Memory Care. You will perform housekeeping and cleaning duties to uphold facility standards at scale, contributing to a safe and sanitary environment for residents. You will work with a supportive team and report to a supervisor on daily tasks and supplies management. This role stands out through infection control procedures and a compassionate, resident‑centered approach.
What You'll Do10
- 1Build and perform cleaning procedures and waste disposal in accordance with facility policy
- 2Dispense soap, paper and other housekeeping supplies as directed
- 3Maintain knowledge of chemicals contained within the facility and proper usage of housekeeping equipment
- 4Follow infection control procedures while performing daily cleaning
- 5Report any area observed to be in poor repair to supervisor
- 6Maintain a safe and sanitary environment for residents and staff
- 7Assist with organization and restocking of housekeeping closets and supplies
- 8Support team members to ensure timely room turnover and overall cleanliness
- 9Engage with residents and colleagues to promote a respectful community environment
- 10Participate in on‑the‑job training and career development opportunities
Requirements5
- 1High School Diploma or equivalent
- 2Experience in a long‑term care facility or acute care center preferred
- 3Ability to perform cleaning procedures and waste disposal in a healthcare setting
- 4Comfort with handling cleaning chemicals and following safety guidelines
- 5Strong communication and teamwork skills
