Housekeeper / Guesthouse Attendant, Boutique Hotel
Overview
You will own the cleanliness and presentation of all 15 guestrooms and shared spaces at The Poppy Georgetown, a boutique guesthouse in historic Georgetown. You will report directly to the property leadership and collaborate with a tight-knit team of hospitality professionals. You will bring a detail-oriented mindset and a flexible, hands-on approach to a role that varies daily with occupancy. This position stands out because you will shape the entire guest experience, from spotless rooms to inviting gardens and parlor.
What You'll Do10
- 1Clean and prepare guestrooms, including making beds, dusting, vacuuming, and sanitizing bathrooms.
- 2Replace linens and towels to ensure each room is presented beautifully for arriving guests.
- 3Maintain common areas like the parlor and shared guest spaces throughout the day.
- 4Keep outdoor areas and gardens clean, organized, and welcoming.
- 5Restock guest amenities, linens, and housekeeping supplies as needed.
- 6Report maintenance concerns or damages to the property team.
- 7Assist guests with a friendly, professional demeanor when approached.
- 8Support breakfast setup, guest amenities, and property organization when housekeeping demands are lighter.
- 9Collaborate with the small team to ensure the entire property is guest-ready.
- 10Pitch in with other reasonable duties based on occupancy and property needs.
Requirements10
- 11+ years of housekeeping or hotel experience preferred.
- 2Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, bend, stoop, kneel, and climb stairs.
- 3Capability to push and pull housekeeping equipment and lift up to 30 pounds.
- 4Dependable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- 5Detail-oriented with genuine pride in cleanliness.
- 6Comfortable working independently with minimal supervision.
- 7Flexible and able to shift between tasks throughout the day.
- 8Friendly and comfortable interacting with guests.
- 9Able to prioritize and adapt as occupancy and operational needs change.
- 10Available to work weekends and holidays based on business needs.
