Overview

You will maintain and repair hotel structures, grounds, and systems at a busy Kansas City property. You will own daily upkeep of plumbing, electrical, pools, and snow removal. You will work with housekeeping, front desk, and banquet teams to keep guest areas safe and polished. This contract role offers paid training, benefits, and hotel discounts after 60 days. You will handle diverse tasks from fixing faucets to planting flower beds, keeping every shift different.

What You'll Do10

  • 1Clean internal areas including storage rooms, boiler rooms, parking lots, public spaces, and banquet rooms by buffing, dusting, sweeping, mopping, and washing windows.
  • 2Repair plumbing and electrical systems, replacing worn parts such as switches, fuses, faucets, and valves.
  • 3Replace damaged parts like hoses, wiring, and belts in vehicles, vacuum cleaners, and riding mowers.
  • 4Monitor hotel swimming pools, adjusting sanitation and chemical levels for safety.
  • 5Cut grass, trim weeds, build flower borders, dig beds, and plant flowers on property.
  • 6Repair parking lots and sidewalks using asphalt, cold patch materials, and concrete.
  • 7Operate snow removal equipment to keep parking lots and sidewalks clear of ice and snow.
  • 8Repair and paint building interiors, including walls, trim, wood, brick, stone, and concrete.
  • 9Assist other departments moving furniture and unloading supplies, and set up banquet rooms.
  • 10Greet guests warmly, resolve maintenance concerns fast, and support security of property and keys.

Requirements8

  • 11+ years in hotel maintenance or similar trade.
  • 2Knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems.
  • 3Ability to lift up to 100 pounds and stand or walk for long shifts.
  • 4Valid driver's license for errands and snow removal.
  • 5CPR certification preferred for pool safety.
  • 6Comfort with power tools, ladders, and cleaning chemicals.
  • 7Flexible schedule including weekends and holidays.
  • 8Professional appearance and guest service mindset.
