Overview
Welcome guests and own the front-of-house experience at Novo Lantern in Boston. You will manage reservations, seating flow, and guest relations for a busy restaurant team. Your first 90 days focus on mastering Micros POS and table management systems to maximize turnover. You will coordinate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure every guest leaves satisfied. This role offers a paid position with flexible scheduling and employee discounts.
What You'll Do7
- 1Greet guests with a warm, positive attitude and manage their experience from arrival to departure.
- 2Manage reservation systems and coordinate seating using Micros POS and other table management tools.
- 3Answer phone calls with professional etiquette to handle reservations and guest inquiries.
- 4Maintain organized waitlists and communicate estimated wait times clearly.
- 5Drive seating flow and table turnover through efficient table management during peak hours.
- 6Uphold food safety standards by keeping the host station clean and hygienic.
- 7Collaborate with servers and kitchen staff to keep service running smoothly and boost guest satisfaction.
Requirements7
- 11+ years of host/hostess or food service experience with proven customer service skills.
- 2Hands-on experience with Micros POS or similar reservation and table management platforms.
- 3Excellent communication skills for phone etiquette and in-person guest relations.
- 4Strong organizational skills to juggle multiple tasks during busy shifts.
- 5Basic math ability for managing reservations, seating counts, and POS transactions.
- 6Knowledge of food safety protocols and restaurant hygiene standards.
- 7Professional phone demeanor and a knack for creating a welcoming atmosphere.
Salary Insight
