You own the guest journey at Catch Steak, from first hello to warm farewell. You set the tone for every visit, turning first impressions into lasting memories. You will master OpenTable, coordinate with the Maître'D, and handle guest concerns with grace. This role is for hospitality professionals who thrive on human connection.
What You'll Do10
- 1Welcome and greet all guests as they arrive, setting a warm and inviting tone.
- 2Check guests in using OpenTable, managing reservations and waitlists with accuracy.
- 3Walk guests to their tables, engage in friendly conversation, and assist with seating.
- 4Present menus and pull out chairs individually to enhance the dining experience.
- 5Recognize regular and VIP guests to personalize their visit.
- 6Resolve guest complaints courteously, escalating to management when needed to ensure satisfaction.
- 7Master OpenTable operations, including table turns and seating efficiency.
- 8Communicate table availability and wait times to the Maître'D and other team members.
- 9Complete opening and closing side work to prepare the host stand for each shift.
- 10Adhere to all Covid health and safety protocols to ensure a safe environment.
Requirements8
- 11+ years of host or front-of-house experience in a restaurant setting.
- 2OpenTable proficiency or the ability to learn quickly.
- 3Professional appearance and cheerful demeanor with a genuine smile.
- 4Strong conversational skills to engage guests and create rapport.
- 5Ability to stand and walk for extended periods during shifts.
- 6Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as scheduled.
