What You'll Do8
- 1Welcome guests warmly at the door, managing the seating flow to meet and exceed guest expectations from the moment they arrive.
- 2Coordinate reservations and walk-ins using OpenTable or similar software, balancing table turns with guest comfort.
- 3Communicate wait times and seating options, keeping guests informed and engaged.
- 4Assist servers and bussers with table setup and clearing to maintain a polished dining room.
- 5Answer phone calls and take reservations, ensuring accurate guest information.
- 6Support the front-of-house team with a guest-first attitude, embodying the Be FAIR ideals: Friendly, Accommodating, Inclusive, and Respectful.
- 7Handle guest requests and special occasions with poise, escalating to management when needed.
- 8Maintain the host stand and entrance area, ensuring it is organized and inviting.
Requirements7
- 11+ years of host experience in an upscale or fine dining environment, preferred.
- 2Strong communication skills and a warm, professional demeanor.
- 3Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, lifting up to 25 lbs as needed.
- 4Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as scheduled.
- 5A passion for great food and great fun, with a commitment to guest satisfaction.
- 6Food handler's certification or ability to obtain one within 30 days of hire.
- 7Comfortable working in a high-volume, fast-paced restaurant setting.
