What You'll Do9

  • 1Educate parents on child development and positive parenting in homes and group settings with Healthy Families Massachusetts.
  • 2Reduce violent, impulsive, and risky behaviors among adolescent parents using Protective Factors Framework strategies.
  • 3Promote safe and healthy homes by assessing risks and connecting families to community resources.
  • 4Manage a caseload of families and children referred to Healthy Families Massachusetts, organizing visits and tracking progress.
  • 5Collaborate with parents, children, and community partners to develop service plans and coordinate referrals.
  • 6Monitor child safety during home visits and document observations in detailed records.
  • 7Resolve family conflicts and mediate disputes during visits.
  • 8Co-present parenting workshops with team members to support community education.
  • 9Build trusting relationships with culturally diverse families, respecting individual differences.

Requirements8

  • 1High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 21+ year of case management or counseling experience with children, adolescents, or families.
  • 3Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish, Portuguese, or Haitian Creole.
  • 4Lived parenting experience preferred.
  • 5Valid driver's license and reliable car.
  • 6Knowledge of infant and child development.
  • 7Ability to engage in reflective practice and accept individual differences.
  • 8Infant Mental Health Endorsement preferred.
