Overview
You will own daily care for seniors in East Brooklyn, guiding clients through bathing, dressing, and meals while tracking their health. You report to a care coordinator and work with a team of PCAs and nurses. This role stands out for its flexible scheduling and $20/hour pay, with weekly direct deposit.
What You'll Do7
- 1Assist clients with bathing, dressing, and grooming, ensuring safety and dignity.
- 2Prepare and plan meals according to dietary needs, including light cooking.
- 3Engage clients in conversation and hobbies to support emotional well-being.
- 4Remind clients to take medications as prescribed, documenting each dose.
- 5Perform light housekeeping, including laundry and tidying living spaces.
- 6Report completed activities and updates on client's physical condition, mental capacity, and behavior to the care coordinator.
- 7Drive to client homes using your own vehicle, maintaining valid registration and insurance.
Requirements5
- 1Valid New York State PCA Certification.
- 21+ year experience in senior care, in community, facility, or home care settings.
- 3Valid driver's license, registration, and insurance for a reliable personal vehicle.
- 4Legally authorized to work in the United States.
- 5Up-to-date immunizations as required by state and employer.
