Overview
CNA provides direct care to six women ages 54-98 in a residential group home, covering weekend and on-call shifts. The CNA owns daily living assistance, vital sign monitoring, and behavioral health support, reporting to a registered nurse. This role offers a flexible schedule and paid training, distinct for its small, family-like setting. CNA ensures safety and comfort while fostering social interaction and meal preparation.
What You'll Do10
- 1Provide direct patient care under supervision of a registered nurse, assisting with bathing, dressing, toileting, and feeding.
- 2Record vital signs including blood pressure, temperature, and pulse, documenting electronically using rtasks.
- 3Assist with ambulation and transfers for residents with mobility challenges.
- 4Monitor residents for changes in condition, reporting any concerns to nursing staff.
- 5Implement behavioral health interventions for residents with mental health conditions.
- 6Perform light housekeeping duties: laundry, vacuuming, sanitizing, restocking, and cleaning bathrooms.
- 7Prepare easy meals from a planned menu, serving lunch and cleaning the dining area.
- 8Supervise residents during table setting, sitting exercises, and grace, aiding with bedtime routines.
- 9Administer medications as scheduled.
- 10Support residents in daily social activities to enhance quality of life.
Requirements10
- 1CNA certification required.
- 21+ years of direct patient care experience.
- 3Ability to lift and transfer residents safely.
- 4CPR certified.
- 5Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- 6High school diploma or equivalent.
- 7Experience with rtasks or similar electronic documentation systems.
- 8Available for weekend and on-call shifts.
- 9Must pass background check.
- 10Positive attitude and willingness to go above and beyond.
