Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA), Long-Term Care
Overview
You will provide routine daily nursing care and services to assigned residents in a skilled nursing facility. Working under the direction of the Nurse Supervisor/Charge Nurse, you will ensure each resident's care plan is followed and their personal needs are met with dignity and respect. You will work alongside a dedicated team of nurses and caregivers in a collaborative environment. What You'll Do10
- 1Identify residents using wristbands or photo cards before administering treatments or serving meals.
- 2Record all entries on flow sheets, notes, and charts in an informative and descriptive manner.
- 3Report changes in resident condition to the Nurse Supervisor as soon as practical.
- 4Assist residents with daily functions including mouth care, bathing, combing hair, and dressing.
- 5Keep residents dry by changing gowns, clothing, and linens when wet or soiled.
- 6Measure and record TPRs (temperature, pulse, respiration) as instructed.
- 7Assist with lifting, turning, moving, positioning, and transporting residents into and out of beds, chairs, bathtubs, wheelchairs, and lifts.
- 8Observe and report skin breakdowns and injuries of unknown source to prevent bedsores.
- 9Perform restorative and rehabilitative procedures as instructed.
- 10Answer resident calls promptly and ensure they are checked routinely for personal needs.
Requirements9
- 110th grade education or equivalent.
- 2Active state license as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA).
- 3CPR certification preferred.
- 4Ability to lift and move up to 25 pounds.
- 5Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals and professional journals.
- 6Ability to write reports and procedure manuals clearly and concisely.
- 7Ability to solve practical problems with limited standardization.
- 8Ability to interpret written, oral, diagram, or schedule instructions.
- 9Flexibility to work 6am-2pm or 2pm-10pm shifts, including weekends and holidays.
Salary Insight
$35 - $40k per year
