Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) - Per Diem
Overview
You'll deliver daily direct care to residents across assisted living, skilled nursing, and memory care at a faith-based nonprofit senior living community. Working under the nurse manager and licensed nurses, you'll own personal care routines, light housekeeping, laundry, and dining support. What You'll Do8
- 1Provide direct resident care including bathing, dressing, dental hygiene, toileting, grooming, feeding, and safe transfers, following care plans.
- 2Maintain resident rooms with light housekeeping, changing linens, making beds, organizing personal items, and cleaning bathrooms daily.
- 3Assist with resident laundry: mark, clean, mend, iron, and put away clothes, reporting clothing needs to the supervisor.
- 4Prepare residents for meals, serve meals, and assist with feeding to ensure proper nutrition and hydration.
- 5Document care provided and report changes in resident condition to licensed nurses promptly.
- 6Support activities of daily living and encourage resident independence and dignity.
- 7Follow infection control and safety protocols to maintain a clean, safe environment.
- 8Assist in memory care and assisted living settings as cross-trained, adapting to resident needs.
Requirements8
- 1High School diploma or equivalent.
- 2Completion of an approved Nursing Assistant program and passed state test.
- 3Active listing on the State Health Nursing Assistant Registry.
- 4Ability to perform physical tasks: lifting, transferring, and standing for long periods.
- 5Compassion and patience for older adults with varying care needs.
- 6Reliable attendance and punctuality for per-diem shifts.
- 7Basic communication skills to interact with residents, families, and staff.
- 8CPR certification preferred but not required.
