
Help Desk Analyst, Desktop Support & Software Licensing
Overview
Own the end-to-end resolution of desktop and software licensing issues for a statewide client base, with 1,000+ endpoints. You will join a tight-knit IT support team, collaborating with sysadmins and network engineers to automate repetitive tasks. This contract role puts your Windows and Active Directory skills to work daily, with a clear path to higher-level system administration.
What You'll Do7
- 1Image Windows machines and deploy SCCM packages to meet the 90-day onboarding surge.
- 2Diagnose and resolve Active Directory account lockouts and permission errors across 3 domains.
- 3Automate software installation using PowerShell scripts, cutting manual effort by 30%.
- 4Track and escalate incidents in ServiceNow, ensuring 95% SLA compliance.
- 5Document troubleshooting steps for recurring Microsoft 365 issues, building a searchable knowledge base.
- 6Collaborate with the infrastructure team to patch Windows Server endpoints monthly.
- 7Support VPN and Citrix remote access for 200 mobile users, maintaining uptime during peak hours.
Requirements8
- 13+ years in a help desk or desktop support role, with Windows 10/11 troubleshooting.
- 2Hands-on Active Directory user and group management, including GPO troubleshooting.
- 3Proven ability to image Dell and HP hardware using SCCM or MDT.
- 41+ years scripting with PowerShell for automation or software deployment.
- 5Experience with ServiceNow ticket management and SLA reporting.
- 6Familiarity with Microsoft 365 admin center, including license assignment and Exchange mailboxes.
- 7High school diploma required; CompTIA A+ or Microsoft certification preferred.
- 8Local to Columbus, Ohio, with ability to work onsite daily.
