What You'll Do11

  • 1Develop and facilitate workshop curricula using evidence-informed interventions like Seeking Safety and Wellness Recovery Action Planning
  • 2Conduct individualized risk assessments and make appropriate service referrals
  • 3Facilitate group counseling sessions and skill-building workshops
  • 4Collaborate with community partners to coordinate harm reduction activities and resource tables
  • 5Document services and maintain confidential resident records in compliance with program requirements
  • 6Perform administrative tasks and participate in staff meetings and supervision
  • 7Support residents in achieving recovery goals through tailored harm reduction approaches
  • 8Engage in training and pilot programs for evidence-based practice adaptations
  • 9Assist with interdisciplinary coordination of care and educational initiatives
  • 10Manage diverse caseload while responding to operational needs across multiple Manhattan sites
  • 11Provide direct support for individuals with substance use mental health and chronic medical conditions

Requirements11

  • 1High school diploma or equivalent required
  • 2CASAC-T certification or enrollment within six months of hire
  • 3Minimum two years experience providing harm reduction and substance use services
  • 4Proven experience working with homelessness mental health substance use HIV/AIDS populations
  • 5Ability to work independently and collaboratively within interdisciplinary teams
  • 6Strong organizational skills for managing diverse caseloads
  • 7Capacity to operate effectively under pressure during crisis situations
  • 8Experience with electronic case management systems such as ETO or CASES
  • 9Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish preferred
  • 10Physical stamina for standing walking sitting stooping climbing stairs and lifting up to ten pounds
  • 11Commitment to client-centered care and evidence-based practices
