Overview

You will own the upkeep of a 4-acre swim, tennis, and pickleball club in Fairfax, CA. You will keep the clubhouse, pool area, courts, and grounds safe and welcoming for 500+ members. You will report to the Club Manager and work alongside staff and vendors. This role offers variety and independence, with no two days alike. You will make a visible impact on the member experience every day.

What You'll Do10

  • 1Perform routine maintenance and repairs on the clubhouse, pool area, courts, and grounds.
  • 2Complete basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and general repair work.
  • 3Repair and maintain doors, gates, fences, benches, lighting, fixtures, irrigation, and other equipment.
  • 4Maintain clubhouse areas, including restrooms, locker rooms, offices, and common areas.
  • 5Maintain tennis and pickleball courts, including nets, windscreens, gates, and fencing.
  • 6Perform groundskeeping tasks such as sweeping, pressure washing, minor landscaping, and general cleanup.
  • 7Help maintain the pool area, including furniture, umbrellas, safety equipment, and minor repairs.
  • 8Assist with basic pool equipment checks and maintenance as trained; major pool system work is handled by an outside pool company.
  • 9Conduct regular inspections and identify maintenance issues before they become larger problems.
  • 10Respond promptly to maintenance requests and assist with urgent repairs when needed.

Requirements8

  • 1Previous handyman, maintenance, or facilities experience preferred.
  • 2Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and general repairs.
  • 3Comfortable safely using hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment.
  • 4Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • 5Able to work independently, stay organized, and prioritize tasks.
  • 6Reliable, punctual, and dependable.
  • 7Comfortable performing physical work, including lifting up to 50 pounds, bending, climbing, standing, and working outdoors.
  • 8Valid driver's license preferred.
