Clubhouse Housekeeping, Golf Club Los Angeles
Overview
You will own the daily cleanliness and appearance of a landmark golf clubhouse and its surrounding property, including banquet rooms, restrooms, offices, parking lots, trails, and parks. Working with a small facilities team, you will handle everything from trash removal and mopping to light repairs and fixture maintenance. This role stands out for its variety: you will polish brass, repair plumbing, assemble dance floors, and manage fireplaces, all while keeping a high-end venue guest-ready at all times.
What You'll Do15
- 1Clean and sanitize the entire clubhouse and property on a daily and hourly basis, including banquet rooms, restrooms, bridal room, and pro shop.
- 2Vacuum all mats and carpets, and mop travertine floors at entrances, hallways, loggia, and patio.
- 3Empty trash from all receptacles, parks, parking lots, and offices, and replace liners as needed.
- 4Maintain restrooms during operating hours, restocking paper towels, toilet paper, napkins, and doggie bags.
- 5Repair and maintain light fixtures, including changing bulbs in chandeliers and sconces, and adjusting the Micro Lite System.
- 6Perform basic plumbing and painting repairs, including fixing flushing systems and touching up interior and exterior walls.
- 7Clean and maintain fountains, fireplaces, water fountains, and refrigeration units, ensuring they operate correctly.
- 8Assemble and disassemble the dance floor, and repair patio heaters, umbrellas, blinds, and drapes.
- 9Polish brass fixtures, thresholds, door levers, and bar footrests throughout the property.
- 10Respond to work orders and promptly identify and resolve safety hazards, including power outages and damaged tiles.
- 11Assist with event setup and breakdown, including furniture rearrangement and hanging frames or shelves.
- 12Support other departments as needed, such as cleaning the kitchen mats and refurnishing restaurant tables.
- 13Resolve scratches and damage on walls, and dust paintings, awards, showcases, and all fixtures.
- 14Check and clean all refrigeration units and ice machines, ensuring they are functioning properly.
- 15Assist in raising and lowering the flag, and clean bird waste from rails and benches.
Requirements10
- 1Basic maintenance experience in a commercial or hospitality setting.
- 2Valid Driver's License.
- 3Ability to read, communicate, and understand memos in English; Spanish is a plus.
- 4Basic math skills for tracking supplies and work orders.
- 5Physical stamina for frequent walking, kneeling, crouching, and repetitive movements like sweeping and mopping.
- 6Ability to lift up to 25 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds occasionally.
- 7Comfortable working in wet, hot, humid, or cool outdoor conditions, and near large equipment.
- 8Flexible schedule with availability for weekends and holidays.
- 9Strong problem-solving and reasoning skills, with a proactive approach to guest needs.
- 10Sanitation and safety-oriented mindset, with attention to detail.
