Handyman, Maintenance Technician Seattle & Residential Property Services
Overview
Own critical repairs and preventative maintenance across apartment communities at scale. You will perform carpentry, plumbing, electrical, drywall, painting, and general building upkeep on a Monday through Friday schedule. Work closely with property managers and vendors to keep residents safe and satisfied. This role offers hands-on work in a fully onsite setting with opportunities to contribute to renovations and capital projects.
What You'll Do9
- 1Build and complete scheduled, turnover, and emergency maintenance repairs in apartment properties
- 2Perform carpentry, drywall, painting, plumbing, and minor electrical work
- 3Assist with renovations, remodels, and special construction projects
- 4Conduct inspections and preventive maintenance to reduce equipment failures
- 5Maintain safe, clean, and organized worksites
- 6Document completed work and communicate results to property managers
- 7Participate in an on-call rotation for after-hours emergencies
- 8Coordinate with subcontractors and vendors as needed
- 9Adhere to safety procedures and quality standards
Requirements10
- 12+ years of maintenance, handyman, or property maintenance experience
- 2Experience with carpentry, drywall repair, plumbing, and basic electrical work
- 3Ability to repair doors, walls, flooring, fixtures, appliances, and locks
- 4Familiarity with remodeling, roofing, siding, concrete, or brickwork preferred
- 5Basic computer skills for work orders, email, and online systems
- 6Strong communication and customer service skills
- 7Reliable transportation, personal cell phone, and basic maintenance tools required
- 8Ability to work independently and follow safety procedures
- 9Must have a valid driver's license and clean driving record
- 10Vehicle in operable condition
