
Guidewire Rating Developer, PolicyCenter Configuration
Overview
You will build and maintain Guidewire PolicyCenter rating configurations for a leading P&C insurance client. You will design and develop rating logic, integrate with BillingCenter and ClaimCenter, and collaborate with underwriters and actuaries to translate business requirements into technical solutions. This role offers the chance to work on complex legacy modernization projects with a focus on performance and accuracy.
What You'll Do8
- 1Design and implement rating algorithms and tables in Guidewire PolicyCenter to support new product offerings.
- 2Collaborate with product owners to define rating requirements and convert them into technical specifications.
- 3Develop configuration changes to PolicyCenter to handle rate revisions and regulatory updates.
- 4Integrate rating services with BillingCenter and ClaimCenter to ensure seamless data flow.
- 5Debug and resolve rating discrepancies by analyzing logs and running test scenarios.
- 6Optimize rating performance by refactoring code and leveraging Gosu best practices.
- 7Create and execute unit tests for rating rules to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- 8Support UAT and production rollouts by providing technical expertise and bug fixes.
Requirements7
- 13+ years of experience with Guidewire PolicyCenter configuration and development.
- 22+ years of experience in P&C insurance domain with knowledge of policy, claims, and billing applications.
- 3Strong proficiency in Gosu programming language within the Guidewire platform.
- 4Experience with Guidewire Studio and version control systems like SVN or Git.
- 5Knowledge of rating engine concepts such as rate tables, prorating, and formula evaluation.
- 6Ability to read and write SQL queries for data analysis and validation.
- 7Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
