Overview
You will own the grill station at the University of Texas Arlington campus, serving hundreds of students daily. You'll prep, cook, and plate food to order, maintaining quality and safety standards. What You'll Do9
- 1Take orders from customers and prepare items requiring short preparation, such as grilled sandwiches and burgers.
- 2Complete orders from steam tables and serve customers at multiple stations with speed and accuracy.
- 3Ensure food is at the correct temperature, attractive, and tasty by tasting all prepared items.
- 4Use approved recipes and production standards to guarantee quality, serving temperatures, and portion control.
- 5Carry pans, kettles, and trays of food to and from workstations, stove, and refrigerator following safety standards.
- 6Store foods in designated areas using proper wrapping, dating, and rotation procedures.
- 7Clean and sanitize all assigned work areas, equipment, and utensils to meet sanitation standards.
- 8Resolve customer concerns and report relevant information to the supervisor.
- 9Attend in-service and safety meetings, and maintain good relationships with coworkers and customers.
Requirements7
- 1Grill Cook experience required.
- 2Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
- 3Knowledge of food safety and sanitation procedures.
- 4Ability to work Monday-Friday based on business needs.
- 5Must be eligible to work in the United States.
- 6Must pass a background check if required.
- 7Flexibility to work during university breaks or at different locations as needed.
