Overview
You will own the grill station at Monmouth University, serving fresh, local meals to students and faculty every day. You will work alongside a tight-knit culinary team in a high-volume campus dining environment, reporting to the shift supervisor. What You'll Do10
- 1Take orders from customers and prepare items requiring short preparation at the grill station.
- 2Complete orders from steam tables and serve customers at multiple stations with efficiency and a friendly demeanor.
- 3Ensure food is at correct temperature and visually appealing, tasting all prepared items before serving.
- 4Follow established ticket-collection procedures and maintain accurate records during service periods.
- 5Use approved recipes and production standards to control portions and ensure quality.
- 6Carry pans, kettles, and trays safely between workstations, stove, and refrigerator.
- 7Store foods following wrapping, dating, and rotation protocols to maintain safety.
- 8Clean and sanitize work areas, equipment, and utensils to meet sanitation standards.
- 9Resolve customer concerns and report relevant issues to the supervisor.
- 10Attend in-service and safety meetings, and maintain positive working relationships with coworkers and managers.
Requirements6
- 1Prior grill cook experience is a plus.
- 2Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
- 3Comfortable working weekdays and weekends, with varied shifts.
- 4Must pass a background check if required.
- 5Able to follow safety and sanitation guidelines.
- 6Eligible to work in the United States.
