Overview
We seek a compassionate Per Diem Grief Counselor to deliver emotional support and counseling services to individuals families and groups coping with grief. This role operates on an as-needed basis providing short-term counseling facilitating support groups and offering crisis intervention. The ideal candidate possesses a deep understanding of grief processes and demonstrates strong interpersonal skills to guide clients through emotional challenges.
What You'll Do7
- 1Provide individual and group grief counseling sessions to clients coping with loss including death terminal illness and other significant life changes
- 2Offer crisis intervention and immediate emotional support to individuals in distress
- 3Facilitate grief support groups ensuring a safe and supportive environment for participants
- 4Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams such as social workers and medical professionals to ensure comprehensive care
- 5Maintain accurate and confidential client records and documentation in compliance with organizational and legal requirements
- 6Offer guidance on coping strategies and provide resources to assist clients in their grief process
- 7Stay informed on best practices and developments in grief counseling and bereavement support
Requirements5
- 15+ years building ETL pipelines with Spark and Airflow
- 2Master’s degree in Counseling Social Work Psychology or a related field
- 3Licensed Clinical Social Worker LCSW or Licensed Professional Counselor LPC
- 4Minimum of 2 years of experience in grief counseling or bereavement support
- 5Certification in grief counseling is preferred such as Certified Grief Counselor
