
Government Property Manager, GFP & CAP Compliance
Overview
You own the day-to-day operation of GFP, CAP, and company-owned equipment and material across Washington, DC and Cambridge, MA. You supervise a property team, drive compliance with FAR and DFARS, and execute property lifecycle activities from acquisition to disposal. This role demands an active Secret clearance and offers direct impact on mission-critical government contracts.
What You'll Do7
- 1Direct the daily management of GFP, CAP, and company property, ensuring accurate tracking and accountability.
- 2Supervise property administrators and technicians, setting priorities and auditing performance against FAR and DFARS.
- 3Implement and enforce property control procedures for receiving, storing, transferring, and disposing of assets.
- 4Conduct physical inventories and reconciliations, resolving discrepancies and maintaining ERP records.
- 5Lead property audits and support government customer reviews, preparing corrective action plans when required.
- 6Coordinate with contracts and procurement teams to align property actions with program requirements.
- 7Develop and deliver property training to staff, promoting a culture of compliance and accountability.
Requirements7
- 15+ years managing government property in a defense or federal contracting environment.
- 2Strong knowledge of FAR 52.245-1 and DFARS property clauses.
- 3Active in-scope Secret clearance verified prior to start.
- 4Experience supervising a team of property professionals.
- 5Proficiency with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) for property tracking.
- 6Ability to travel between DC and Cambridge, MA as required.
- 7Relevant certification (e.g., CPPM, NFPA) preferred.
