Girls Youth Ministry Coordinator, Church Programs & Mentoring
Overview
Own the planning and execution of a vibrant youth program for middle and high school girls at Desert City Church in Phoenix. Lead Sunday night activities, coordinate volunteers, and foster one-on-one mentorship with students. This role blends hands-on program delivery with behind-the-scenes logistics and relationship-building time. What You'll Do12
- 1Build and run Sunday night program including setting up spaces and managing games and tech
- 2Coordinate meals, snacks, and drinks for students during weekly events
- 3Lead middle school breakout sessions and facilitate discussions for age-appropriate growth
- 4Tear down and reset spaces after activities to be ready for the next event
- 5Coordinate volunteers and send weekly reminders to ensure smooth operations
- 6Plan logistics for seasonal camps, retreats, and special events including registrations
- 7Maintain administrative duties such as database updates and supply organization
- 8Engage in relationship-building by attending student activities outside church events
- 9Lead or co-lead Bible studies and mentoring conversations with girls
- 10Stay connected with students through regular follow-up and communications
- 11Attend student events outside church walls to deepen trust and presence
- 12Communicate with parents ahead of outings to secure permissions

- 2Strong communication and interpersonal skills with middle and high school students
- 3Heart for building trust-based mentoring relationships with girls
- 4Highly organized, detail-oriented, able to manage tasks independently
- 5Consistent and reliable attendance
- 6Ability to pass a standard background check
- 7Previous experience in youth ministry or working with teenage girls is a plus
- 8Total commitment: 15 hours/week
- 9Pay: $15.15 - $20.00 per hour
- 10Work Location: In person
