Girls Basketball Coach, High School Athletics
Overview
Lead and develop girls basketball program at Chandler Unified School District with a focus on safety, skill development, and competitive performance. Collaborate with athletic staff and administrators to prepare teams for competitions and support student-athlete growth on and off the court. Drive positive character and sportsmanship while upholding district policies and NFHS standards. This role integrates coaching, program administration, and community engagement to create a respectful and competitive athletic environment.
What You'll Do5
- 1Build and run practices that develop individual and team skills and game understanding
- 2Design game plans and provide coaching during competitions with professionalism
- 3Ensure athlete safety and follow all injury prevention and emergency protocols
- 4Communicate effectively with students, parents, administrators, and athletic staff
- 5Assist with program administration including equipment management and records
Requirements6
- 1Valid Arizona Driver’s License
- 2DPS IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card
- 3CPR First Aid AED Certification
- 4NFHS certifications in Concussion in Sports First Aid Health and Safety Fundamentals of Coaching and Heat Illness Prevention
- 5Ability to meet physical demands and work onsite
- 6Experience with managing a team in a school athletic program
