General Manager, Wendy's Restaurant Operations
Overview
You own the full P&L, operations, and team development for a high-volume Wendy's restaurant, driving sales and profitability in a competitive quick-service market. You lead a team of managers and crew to deliver A Level results on the Operations Evaluation and to build a culture of Delight Every Customer. With 3+ years of line operations experience, you implement systems for training, food safety, and customer service, while working directly with the District Manager to execute growth plans. This role stands out for its emphasis on P&L analysis, Serve Safe Certification, and hands-on leadership.
What You'll Do10
- 1Lead restaurant operations to achieve A Level results on the Operations Evaluation, including Quality, Service, and Cleanliness standards.
- 2Build a high-performing team by recruiting, hiring, and developing Crew and Managers, using systems for recognition and retention.
- 3Drive sales growth by executing marketing programs and implementing plans to beat sales and profit budgets.
- 4Control food, labor, and paper costs to maximize profitability and take corrective action on unfavorable trends.
- 5Conduct regular manager meetings to communicate priorities and reinforce company policies and procedures.
- 6Ensure food safety compliance by training and monitoring Managers and Crew, achieving Serve Safe Certification.
- 7Evaluate restaurant performance through inspections and coach managers to improve ratings and brand compliance.
- 8Prepare and deliver performance reviews for management and crew, setting clear goals for development.
- 9Maintain proper staffing levels and ensure full execution of HR programs and employment laws.
- 10Use P&L analysis to identify opportunities and partner with the District Manager to set restaurant priorities.
Requirements10
- 13+ years of line operations experience in the restaurant industry.
- 2High School Diploma or GED required, 18 years or older.
- 3Demonstrated experience in supervisory practices and interviewing high-performing candidates.
- 4Ability to achieve Serve Safe Certification and complete training programs.
- 5Knowledge of applicable Federal, State, and Local employment laws.
- 6Proven ability to execute training and development practices.
- 7Strong skills in P&L analysis and corrective measures.
- 8Must be able to stand, walk, bend, kneel, reach, and lift up to 30 pounds.
- 9Must be able to work in varying environments and wear a headset for order taking.
- 10Must be able to react to change productively and handle multiple tasks.
