General Manager, Car Wash Operations & Team Leadership
Overview
You own the full P&L and daily operations of a high-volume WhiteWater Express car wash, driving revenue and team performance from drive-up to drive-out. You lead a team of 8-12 hourly employees, overseeing hiring, training, and scheduling while fostering a customer-first culture. You report to the Area Director and use KPI tools and Business Intelligence dashboards to grow memberships and control costs. This role offers a clear path to Area Director and a base salary of $50,000-$55,000 plus $17,500 bonus potential.
What You'll Do9
- 1Build a positive, customer-focused culture by coaching and developing each team member, modeling leadership and accountability.
- 2Recruit, hire, and train 8-12 team members, managing performance and retention to reduce turnover.
- 3Deliver a 5-star experience by ensuring a safe, clean facility and resolving customer or employee concerns promptly.
- 4Educate customers on wash packages, memberships, and promotions to boost sales and retention.
- 5Create and communicate weekly schedules, and enforce safety protocols and operational standards.
- 6Troubleshoot equipment issues and coordinate with Facilities and IT to minimize downtime.
- 7Drive revenue by coaching the team on membership conversion and using KPI tools and Business Intelligence dashboards to track performance.
- 8Manage controllable costs, including labor and supplies, with support from the Area Director.
- 9Approve employee hours in the POS system and ensure accurate payroll processing.
Requirements7
- 11-3 years of management experience in retail, hospitality, or a similar customer-facing environment.
- 2Proven experience supervising teams of 8-12 employees, including hiring, training, and scheduling.
- 3Strong leadership and sales acumen, with a track record of hitting revenue targets.
- 4Excellent verbal and written communication skills with conflict-resolution abilities.
- 5Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace, and POS systems.
- 6High school diploma or equivalent; combination of experience and education considered.
- 7Flexibility to work 45-50 hours per week, including weekends and holidays as needed.
