GCP Data Lead (Kubernetes, Terraform)
Overview
Own the GCP data platform at E-Solutions, Inc. as GCP Data Lead in San Jose, CA. Automate infrastructure provisioning and deployment using Terraform and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) to scale data pipelines and services. You will build and maintain observability with Prometheus and Grafana to monitor application health and performance. What You'll Do7
- 1Automate infrastructure provisioning, deployment, and scaling processes using Terraform and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
- 2Design and implement CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins and GitLab CI to streamline deployments.
- 3Develop and maintain observability systems with Prometheus and Grafana to monitor health and performance.
- 4Leverage Kubernetes to design, deploy, and optimize containerized applications and microservices.
- 5Build and manage GCP resources including GKE, Cloud Storage, and BigQuery for data workloads.
- 6Automate scaling and self-healing of data services using Helm charts and Kubernetes operators.
- 7Lead incident response and root-cause analysis for platform issues, ensuring 99.9% uptime.
Requirements8
- 17+ years of experience in data engineering or platform engineering, with at least 2 years leading teams.
- 2Expert-level proficiency in Kubernetes architecture, including GKE, Helm, and Istio.
- 3Hands-on experience with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code in production environments.
- 4Proven track record automating infrastructure provisioning and deployment for GCP data platforms.
- 5Strong background in observability tools like Prometheus, Grafana, and Cloud Monitoring.
- 6Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or Cloud Build.
- 7Deep understanding of GCP services: BigQuery, Cloud Storage, Pub/Sub, and Dataflow.
- 8Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
