Overview
Support FTTH construction projects from pre-construction site surveys through build completion in a field-focused role. The ideal candidate oversees vendors conducts site walks validates construction readiness identifies risks ensures safe on-schedule delivery meeting design standards. This long-term position supports ongoing fiber expansion throughout New Jersey with approximately 70 percent field time.

- 1Conduct pre-construction site surveys for upcoming FTTH projects
- 2Identify field challenges permitting concerns and construction risks before construction begins
- 3Manage daily activities of construction vendors and contractors
- 4Perform field inspections to ensure construction meets quality standards
- 5Verify completed work aligns with engineering designs and project requirements
- 6Coordinate with engineering permitting and operations teams throughout the project lifecycle
- 7Review redlines as-builts and project documentation
- 8Track project progress and provide status updates to leadership
- 9Escalate field issues and assist with resolution efforts
- 10Ensure safety quality and production expectations are consistently met
Requirements8
- 1Prior experience working for a telecommunications provider cable provider fiber provider broadband provider or telecom construction contractor
- 23+ years of telecommunications FTTH OSP CATV or broadband construction experience
- 3Experience supporting fiber construction projects in the field
- 4Ability to conduct site surveys and field assessments
- 5Knowledge of underground and aerial FTTH construction practices
- 6Strong communication and coordination skills
- 7Comfortable working independently in the field throughout New Jersey
- 8Valid driver’s license
