FT Lead Manager, Retail Store Operations
Overview
Own the store floor as FT Lead, driving sales and team performance at Five Below. You'll train crew on the B.E.S.T. service model, manage daily operations, and step in as Manager on Duty. This role builds leadership skills while keeping the store running smoothly, with a focus on customer experience and merchandise placement.
What You'll Do9
- 1Train crew on the B.E.S.T. customer service model, ensuring a fast, friendly checkout for every guest.
- 2Oversee daily activities of store associates, coaching them on effective customer service and task execution.
- 3Receive, unpack, and organize new stock, placing items on the sales floor within 90 days of hire.
- 4Act as Manager on Duty, taking full responsibility for store operations, staff, and urgent issue resolution.
- 5Manage store opening and closing procedures, including cash handling, locking, and alarm setup.
- 6Support onboarding and ongoing training, covering store policies, product knowledge, and operational procedures.
- 7Drive sales and control expenses by optimizing merchandising, staff performance, and customer service.
- 8Partner with store leadership on merchandising procedures and World Recovery.
- 9Perform store maintenance, including trash removal, sweeping, cleaning bathrooms, and stock room upkeep.
Requirements10
- 11+ years of management experience.
- 2High School graduate or equivalent; college experience preferred.
- 3Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- 4Ability to multi-task and think creatively.
- 5Maintain composure under pressure.
- 6Frequently operate a cash register and move merchandise up to 25 lbs.
- 7Ascend and descend ladders to retrieve stock up to 5-10 feet.
- 8Kneel, bend, twist, and stoop in stock room and sales floor.
- 9Work a flexible schedule including days, evenings, weekends, and overnight shifts.
- 10Must be at least 18 years old.
