Overview
Own the patient arrival experience in a dermatology practice at scale, ensuring smooth check-in, scheduling, and insurance processing to support clinicians and patient satisfaction. You will greet patients, manage appointments, and handle administrative tasks in a clinical setting. This role blends front desk coordination with patient education and data accuracy, contributing to efficient daily operations and high-quality service.
What You'll Do10
- 1Build patient greetings and check-in flow to reduce wait times
- 2Schedule, reschedule and cancel appointments and send reminders to improve appointment adherence
- 3Process insurance verification and billing inquiries to support accurate claims
- 4Maintain medical records and EMR data entry to ensure HIPAA compliance
- 5Coordinate with medical staff to optimize patient flow and office efficiency
- 6Provide patient education and answers on costs, copays, and insurance benefits
- 7Manage phone, email, and faxes to ensure timely responses
- 8Support administrative tasks and supply ordering to maintain organized front office
- 9Contribute to data reporting and front office performance metrics
- 10Collaborate with team during meetings and training to uphold service standards
Requirements10
- 1High school diploma or equivalent
- 2Minimum 1 year experience in a medical office setting
- 3Dermatology experience preferred
- 4Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- 5Proficiency with medical software and computer systems
- 6Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- 7Knowledge of insurance processes and HIPAA compliance
- 8Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
- 9Ability to travel to remote location if needed
- 10No weekends and full-time schedule with 40 hours per week
