What You'll Do11
- 1Manage patient check-in and check-out processes verifying demographics and insurance information collecting copayments or balances scheduling follow-up appointments
- 2Greet patients and visitors professionally handling phone calls and routing inquiries
- 3Optimize provider schedules to improve patient flow and satisfaction
- 4Notify providers of patient arrivals and appointment updates
- 5Retrieve and maintain accurate patient records within the electronic dental system
- 6Collect payments and prepare daily deposits for banking
- 7Verify insurance coverage and communicate patient financial responsibilities before appointments
- 8Ensure all required patient forms are completed scanned and attached to electronic records
- 9Maintain dental records and filing systems following regulatory standards
- 10Assist in developing treatment plans by preparing estimates and explaining financial responsibilities
- 11Provide clerical support to providers and practice manager including referrals and correspondence
Requirements8
- 1High school diploma or GED required
- 2Minimum one year dental or healthcare office experience preferred
- 3Reliable transportation and flexibility for location changes
- 4Strong customer service and interpersonal communication skills
- 5Knowledge of dental office procedures including intake scheduling and records management
- 6Proficiency in data entry and general computer applications
- 7Experience with dental practice management software such as Open Dental or Modento
- 8Understanding of regulations and confidentiality requirements like HIPAA
