- 5Collect co-pays and apply previous balances accurately
- 6Verify and update patient demographics and insurance information
- 7Assign patients to exam rooms or escort them in a multi-level facility
- 8Maintain reception area appearance and organization
- 9Triage and distribute incoming mail and correspondence
- 10Communicate clearly with patients and staff via phone email text and in person
- 11Keep team informed about front desk updates and operational changes
- 12Guide staff on front desk best practices
- 13Address patient concerns professionally and escalate issues as appropriate
- 14Contact patients on cancellation list when applicable
- 15Assist with administrative tasks as needed
- 16Perform billing tasks if available
Requirements14
- 1Associates or Bachelor's degree preferred
- 2Minimum 3–5 years medical front desk experience
- 3Dermatology or plastic surgery experience preferred
- 4Proficient in EMR systems preferably eClinical Works
- 5Billing experience is a plus
- 6Strong customer service orientation
- 7Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- 8Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- 9Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- 10Professional demeanor handling confidential information
- 11Strong organizational skills and follow-through
- 12Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- 13Proficiency with electronic health records practice management systems scheduling software and Microsoft Office
- 14Ability to remain calm professional and solution-oriented
