What You'll Do11
- 1Greet patients warmly verify appointment details assist with check-in procedures using Electronic Health Record systems
- 2Schedule patient appointments efficiently manage calendar updates and cancellations professionally
- 3Collect and process co-pays and past due balances ensuring accuracy in Medicare guidelines
- 4Review and update patient medical records ensuring compliance with HIPAA confidentiality policies and health information management standards
- 5Handle incoming calls with excellent phone etiquette addressing patient inquiries about appointments insurance coverage or health information
- 6Manage electronic health records and other documentation review tasks maintaining data integrity across various EMR/EHR platforms
- 7Support clinical staff by preparing care plans documentation and assisting with administrative support tasks such as filing data entry and office management
- 8Maintain knowledge of health insurance policies and procedures related to medical collection processes to facilitate accurate billing operations
- 9Ensure the clinic environment remains organized by managing medical records office supplies and clerical documentation efficiently
- 10Prioritize clinic experience demonstrating proficiency with EMR systems and electronic communication systems
- 11Apply knowledge of medical terminology health insurance procedures CPT coding ICD coding (ICD-9/ICD-10) and Medicare regulations as a plus
