What You'll Do8
- 1Lead a team of fraud analysts, setting performance standards and coaching them to reduce losses by 15% in the first year.
- 2Build daily fraud monitoring processes using SAS and Tableau to detect deposit and loan fraud within 24 hours.
- 3Drive investigations of suspicious activity, coordinating with FBI, Secret Service, and local law enforcement to resolve cases.
- 4Design automated fraud alerts and case management workflows in Actimize to cut response time by 30%.
- 5Own compliance reporting, delivering monthly board-level summaries on fraud trends and mitigation efforts.
- 6Implement training programs for staff on fraud prevention, reducing internal process errors by 20%.
- 7Collaborate with IT and data teams to enhance fraud detection models, integrating machine learning algorithms.
- 8Review and update policies to align with BSA and OFAC requirements, ensuring audit readiness.
Requirements7
- 15-8 years in financial institution fraud management, including 2+ years leading a team.
- 2Bachelor's degree or equivalent, plus industry certifications like CFCS or ABA coursework.
- 3Strong knowledge of BSA, OFAC, and Reg CC regulations.
- 4Experience with fraud detection systems such as Actimize or FICO Falcon.
- 5Proven track record of reducing fraud losses while maintaining member satisfaction.
- 6Excellent analytical skills to interpret data and create actionable insights.
- 7Strong communication for presenting to executives and law enforcement.
