Overview
BankUnited's Fraud Investigator I leads external fraud investigations across multiple domains to protect assets and customers. What You'll Do11
- 1Investigate and manage external fraud cases including check fraud and wire fraud
- 2Conduct thorough research and compile evidence using internal and external resources
- 3Analyze surveillance footage and retrieve data for investigative reports
- 4Interview employees suspects and witnesses to gather case-critical information
- 5Facilitate fraud recovery processes to minimize financial losses
- 6Submit Suspicious Referral Forms and coordinate with law enforcement agencies
- 7Provide customer education on fraud prevention techniques
- 8Stay current with emerging fraud trends through industry workshops
- 9Maintain strict confidentiality throughout all investigative phases
- 10Develop and implement fraud monitoring protocols as needed
- 11Assist with business continuity planning during active investigations
Requirements10
- 15+ years experience in fraud investigations within financial institutions
- 2Spark and Airflow proficiency for data pipeline management
- 3CPC Card certification preferred for fraud analysis expertise
- 4Strong knowledge of Regulation E and Bank Secrecy Act requirements
- 5Experience with E-Filing systems and SRF submission processes
- 6Ability to conduct interviews and facilitate depositions under pressure
- 7Familiarity with KYC and AML compliance frameworks
- 8Proven track record of working with law enforcement and regulatory bodies
- 9Excellent written and verbal communication skills for complex case documentation
- 10Dedication to ethical investigations and maintaining professional boundaries
