Foundry Manufacturing Superintendent, Metalcasting
Overview
You'll own safe, reliable, and high-quality output in the melt shop and middle foundry, directly managing a team of 10-18 employees to hit production targets. Reporting to the Production Manager, you'll coordinate daily operations, direct equipment repairs, and drive preventive maintenance with TPM principles. You'll partner with Quality, HR, and Safety managers to ensure compliance with AAR standards and foster an engaged, safety-first culture. This role offers a chance to lead cross-functional teams and shape operational excellence in a large-scale metalcasting environment.
What You'll Do10
- 1Coordinate melt shop activities to hit shift production targets and meet objectives.
- 2Deploy manpower resources dynamically to adapt to plan changes.
- 3Plan, prioritize, and direct equipment repairs and preventive maintenance.
- 4Recruit, train, and motivate a capable, cost-effective production team.
- 5Champion safety protocols and spotless housekeeping.
- 6Lead first-step resolution of employee complaints and grievances.
- 7Partner with office staff on shipping specs, schedules, and inventory.
- 8Collaborate with Quality Manager for AAR compliance.
- 9Advance TPM with the Equipment Manager.
- 10Direct maintenance schedules and liaise with vendors and inspectors.
Requirements7
- 13-5 years supervisory experience in manufacturing.
- 2Hands-on exposure to Non Destructive Testing.
- 3Experience with tooling and QC (SPC).
- 4Proven safety management and maintenance oversight.
- 5Capital project management experience.
- 6Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
- 7Ability to work in moderate physical and environmental conditions.
Salary Insight
$83 - $144k per year
