Founding Forward Deployed Software Engineer, Go & Cloud
Overview
Own the early product engineering and customer deployments for an AI startup at scale. You will bridge engineering and customers, shaping the platform from the ground up across backend, cloud, and deployment workflows. This hybrid onsite role sits in Herndon, VA with three days per week onsite and a fast-moving, hands-on environment. You will collaborate with the founding team to iterate quickly and deliver value directly to customers.
What You'll Do5
- 1Build core backend services in Go and deploy robust cloud infrastructure on AWS
- 2Design and implement customer deployment pipelines and tooling for smooth onboarding
- 3Own end-to-end reliability and monitoring of production systems in Kubernetes clusters
- 4Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate customer feedback into product improvements
- 5Ship early features that demonstrate measurable impact and drive platform adoption
Requirements5
- 1Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science or related field
- 2Strong experience with Go in production environments
- 3Hands-on knowledge of Kubernetes and AWS for deployment and ops
- 4Experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL
- 5Ability to work onsite in Herndon, VA and communicate with customers effectively
