Foreman - Vehicle Maintenance and Shop Management
Overview
Lead a team of four to fourteen employees while overseeing vehicle maintenance programs and ensuring a safe work environment at Werner Enterprises in Atlanta Georgia. This role involves supervising daily operations and supporting fleet maintenance initiatives.
What You'll Do11
- 1Oversee vehicle maintenance and safety inspections to meet DOT requirements
- 2Produce daily reports including production and sold vehicle reports
- 3Train employees and monitor progress of newly trained staff
- 4Answer mechanical questions and advise on repair procedures
- 5Train drivers on temperature control unit operation and truck maintenance
- 6Present shop safety training to all employees
- 7Manage trailer shop operations and verify temperature control unit functionality
- 8Place orders for fuel and waste removal services
- 9Communicate with internal departments regarding fleet maintenance
- 10Maintain employee and payroll records including time adjustments and performance reviews
- 11Implement progressive discipline and enforce company policies
Requirements8
- 15+ years managing vehicle maintenance programs and leading teams
- 2Spark and Airflow experience with ETL pipeline development
- 3DOT compliance expertise and knowledge of LTOT systems
- 4TCU troubleshooting and documentation skills
