Foreign Filing Paralegal (patent prosecution/hybrid)

What You'll Do9
- 1Establish and maintain foreign patent files by opening files and preparing paperwork for filing including specifications claims abstracts and drawings
- 2Prepare cover letters to foreign associates detailing instructions for filing applications
- 3Review incoming correspondence from foreign associates for essential docketing and non-substantive responses
- 4Provide ongoing verbal and written communication with foreign associates and attorneys during filing and prosecution
- 5Assist attorney in procedural aspects of prosecution
- 6Maintain and update foreign filing dockets
- 7Establish relationships with attorneys and staff
- 8Prepare estimates of filing prosecution and maintenance costs
- 9Perform other tasks and projects as assigned
Requirements7
- 1BA degree and paralegal certificate or equivalent experience with 3 years on-the-job experience with U.S. prosecution filing
- 2Ability to work independently and meet deadlines under attorney supervision
- 3Strong organizational skills to prioritize tasks under time constraints
- 4Interpersonal skills for effective communication with diverse groups
- 5Capacity to handle mental effort and stress while managing multiple cases
- 6Willingness to exceed 37.5 hours weekly for essential duties
- 7Regular attendance required
