Overview
Lead a team of food service workers in a fast paced hospital kitchen ensuring meals are prepared and served safely, on time, and with exceptional service. You will train staff, manage inventory, and support daily operations across multiple culinary service areas. This role integrates patient meal customization, event catering, and department collaboration to maintain high standards.
What You'll Do9
- 1Lead daily service across Culinary Services and coordinate with management
- 2Train team members in food preparation, service, and safety to meet standards
- 3Inventory food and supplies, manage par levels and production quantities
- 4Prepare items per recipes and production forecasts, adhere to budget and food cost guidelines
- 5Resolves customer problems and supports staff development in customer service skills
- 6Oversee sanitation and equipment cleaning in compliance with regulations
- 7Coordinate catered events and provide related billing reporting
- 8Participate in department meetings and training sessions
- 9Communicate with customers, patients, vendors, and management to ensure smooth operations
Requirements5
- 1High school diploma or GED
- 21+ years of experience in food service and customer service
- 3Ability to learn and operate computer software, email, and point of sale systems
- 4Strong communication and customer service skills
- 5Must be able to inventory, count money, and perform basic math
