You will own commercial flooring installations across the DFW area, working with LVT/LVP, carpet tile, sheet vinyl, VCT, and ceramic tile on projects for general contractors and owners. What You'll Do9
- 1Install LVT/LVP, carpet tile, sheet vinyl, VCT, and ceramic tile to commercial standards on active construction sites.
- 2Prepare subfloors by patching, self-leveling, and performing demolition and removal of existing flooring.
- 3Apply heat welding and chemical welding for seamless sheet vinyl seams and cove base installations.
- 4Cut and install rubber base, transitions, trims, and accessories to match project specs.
- 5Follow manufacturer installation requirements and jobsite safety rules to ensure code compliance.
- 6Maintain a clean, organized work area and protect finished surfaces from damage.
- 7Coordinate with the lead installer and crew to meet project deadlines and quality benchmarks.
- 8Inspect your work for precision, correcting any defects before project completion.
- 9Communicate with the supervisor about material needs and any site issues that affect installation.
Requirements9
- 12+ years of professional flooring installation experience in commercial settings.
- 2Proficiency in LVT/LVP, carpet tile, sheet vinyl, VCT, ceramic tile, or wood flooring installation.
- 3Experience with heat welding, chemical welding, and self-leveling compounds.
- 4Own basic flooring tools including a utility knife, knee kicker, tape measure, and trowels.
- 5Reliable transportation and ability to report to jobsites on time daily.
- 6Physical capability to lift 50+ pounds, kneel, bend, and stand for extended periods.
- 7Strong attention to detail and ability to produce straight seams and tight corners.
- 8Comfortable working independently and as part of a crew on active construction sites.
- 9Ability to follow safety protocols and OSHA guidelines without exception.
