Floor & Decor Senior Designer
Overview
Senior Designer leads design team and provides seamless start to finish consultative design service. Build lasting relationships and brand loyalty with customers. Meet with customers listen to project needs educate them and build creative design concepts incorporating personal style lifestyle and budget.
What You'll Do11
- 1Greet store customers in a helpful manner and support store design walk-in needs
- 2Schedule design appointments for existing and potential customers while developing clientele through networking referrals and leads
- 3Provide tile wood stone and accessories advice to homeowners interior designers and builders for residential and commercial projects
- 4Design and sell complete functional and aesthetically appealing solutions
- 5Manage multiple simultaneous customer projects through all phases with high accuracy timeliness and follow-up
- 6Proficient and consistent use of company communication tools and emails required
- 7Collaborate partner and communicate with store leadership and employees to manage projects from inquiry to installation
- 8Support all company initiatives and model coaching best practices with store employees
- 9Engage in current and emerging design trends in your market
- 10Understand and utilize design applications such as Salesforce proprietary Online Design Appointment Scheduler and MyProject
- 11Participate in local professional affiliations like ASID NKBA
Requirements10
- 1Design education BA or AA in Interior Design
- 26 years interior design experience in lieu of design education
- 3Combination of education and experience equal to 6 years
- 4Prior retail sales experience preferred
- 5Knowledge of hard surface flooring is a plus
- 6Basic computer knowledge including Microsoft Office suite
- 7Internal candidates must have 24 months of experience in a Floor & Decor Designer position
- 8Medium physical requirements including lifting carrying pushing pulling and occasional standing walking reaching climbing balancing stooping kneeling crouching or crawling
- 9Ability to exert 20-50 pounds of force occasionally and 10-25 pounds frequently up to 10 pounds constantly
- 10Occasionally required to stand walk reach climb or balance and stoop kneel crouch or crawl
