Overview
The Floating Environmental Services Specialist (Maintenance) oversees maintenance and facilities operations across Northern New Jersey. This exempt salaried role reports to the Regional Director and Executive Director while managing day-to-day duties. Travel throughout the region to support diverse communities.
What You'll Do11
- 1Plan and supervise environmental services and maintenance programs across multiple sites
- 2Coordinate with wellness marketing sales food service and other departments
- 3Monitor community expenditures to ensure budget compliance
- 4Develop schedules and track performance metrics
- 5Ensure regulatory compliance through inspections and documentation
- 6Manage vendor contracts for building systems and equipment
- 7Perform hands-on maintenance tasks including snow removal and carpentry
- 8Conduct emergency response and drill oversight
- 9Support capital expenditure processes for facility upgrades
- 10Maintain access control systems and physical infrastructure
- 11Lead teams through daily operational challenges and unexpected requests
Requirements11
- 1Minimum 3 years experience in maintenance facilities management or related field
- 2Valid driver's license with clean driving record
- 3Proficiency in Microsoft Office and facility management software
- 4Strong knowledge of HVAC electrical plumbing fire safety systems
- 5Physical stamina for standing walking and lifting 50 lbs
- 6Ability to operate power tools and perform hands-on repairs
- 7Experience with building automation systems like Yardi DSSI TELS
- 8Background in vendor contract management and capital projects
- 9Excellent communication skills for cross-departmental collaboration
- 10Commitment to regulatory compliance and safety standards
- 11Experience with emergency preparedness and response protocols
