What You'll Do11
- 1Assist RN with daily care including bathing oral hygiene feeding activity orders and ambulation using assistive devices proper positioning range of motion and transfers
- 2Measure and document vital signs blood pressure TPR temperature pulse respiration intake and output daily weights and other patient data as requested
- 3Maintain accurate electronic medical record documentation and participate in admission transfer and discharge processes under RN supervision
- 4Perform patient rounding communicate observations to RN and manage call lights promptly
- 5Collect specimens and conduct point of care testing ensuring proper labeling and identification
- 6Maintain nursing area stock order clean equipment and work areas
- 7Execute patient positioning and transporting tasks using proper technique and assistive devices
- 8Support nutritional needs including diet review tray setup removal proper positioning and diet selection
- 9Preserve skin integrity through repositioning and skin care practices
- 10Provide specialized supplies such as TED hoses and sequential compression devices
- 11Follow infection prevention protocols including hand hygiene sterile procedures and proper attire for isolation cases
Requirements8
- 1High School Graduate GED or HSED certificate required
- 2No prior experience required
- 3Basic computer skills essential
- 4Excellent oral and written communication abilities
- 5Strong organizational skills and priority setting capabilities
- 6Annual maintenance of hospital-based certifications such as DNV or CARF
- 7Current Nurse Aide license in good standing
- 8Basic Life Support certification from American Heart Association obtainable within 45 days
