What You'll Do9
- 1Assist RN with daily patient care including bathing oral hygiene feeding and ambulation using therapeutic devices ensuring proper positioning and range of motion.
- 2Measure and document vital signs I&O weights and patient observations promptly communicating findings to RN.
- 3Perform rounding and round calls while documenting appropriately and participating in admission transfer and discharge processes.
- 4Collect specimens and conduct point of care testing following approved labeling procedures.
- 5Maintain stock orders clean equipment and perform patient positioning using proper techniques and assistive devices.
- 6Address nutritional needs including diet review tray setup and skin integrity maintenance.
- 7Provide specialized care for age specific patient populations adhering to department policies and infection prevention guidelines.
- 8Operate medical equipment and perform tasks like IV removal post mortem care and bladder scans as directed.
- 9Demonstrate knowledge of growth development principles and interpret patient data to determine age appropriate care.
Requirements5
- 1Basic Life Support certification from AHA within 45 days and current state nurse aide registration.
- 2High School diploma or GED education requirement.
- 3Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs from floor to waist and 20 lbs overhead.
- 4Strong communication organizational and prioritization skills.
- 5Basic computer proficiency and excellent written oral communication abilities.
Salary Insight
